alle regole geometriche di un triangolo, dove, dati due angoli e il segmento che gli unisce, è graficamente immediato trovare il punto in cui i due angoli dati si incontreranno formando così il terzo angolo e chiudendo la figura geometrica.&lt;br /&gt;Seguendo lo stesso principio, in topografia si può: &lt;br /&gt;-fissate un punto fermo del territorio su di una carta topografica (senza dover per altro raggiungere il punto stesso)&lt;br /&gt;-stimare con un bassissimo margine di errore la distanza di un punto anche molto lontano e inaccessibile&lt;br /&gt;-inserire su una mappa punti fissi di riferimento esterni al tracciato&lt;br /&gt;-stimare l’altezza del punto triangolato (per fare questo è necessario un approfondimento sulle stime)&lt;br /&gt;In teoria tutto facile ma in pratica?&lt;br /&gt;Proviamo: &lt;br /&gt;Necessari sono, 1 coppia di squadrette (30°/60°- 45°/45°) e un goniometro.&lt;br /&gt;-Ora prova a tracciare un segmento di 10 cm su un foglio, dagli estremi di questo segmento fai partire un angolo di 35° dall’estremo di destra A e uno di 49° dall’estremo di sinistra B. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Fatto questo ti accorgi che le rette tracciate si incontrano in un punto ben definito C (il nostro punto da triangolare) e peraltro se voui puoi dire esattamente quanto è distante il punto trovato da uno dei due estremi del segmento (basta prendere un righello e misuarare da A a C.&lt;br /&gt;Ora andiamo nel giardino di casa:&lt;br /&gt;Necessario: 1 bussola, 1 foglio di carta, 1 coppia di squadrette&lt;br /&gt;Rifaciamo le cose fatte prima con qualche semplice aggiunta, prima di tutto ti serve una unità di misura e cosa c’è di meglio dei tuoi passi !!, pertanto sul tuo foglio di carta scrivi in un angolo l’unità di misura che può così essere espressa: 1 passo = 1 cm e la scala è fatta.&lt;br /&gt;Fatta la scala serve orientare il foglio, pertanto bussola alla mano, e sul foglio tracciate la retta del Nord, indicando con una freccia il verso del Nord .&lt;br /&gt;Ora scegliete un punto da triangolare, magari un punto del giardino ben lontano da voi ex. un albero, e poi sulla retta del Nord appena tracciata segnate un punto A che indica il punto in cui siete in quel momento.&lt;br /&gt;Ora dovete tracciare un segmento di base dal quale poter triangolare il vostro albero. Semplice! da dove siete ora scegliete un altro punto del giardino che sia vicino e raggiungibile a piedi direttamente (non nella stessa direzione dell’albero) e tirate l’azimut di quel punto B. Fatto l’azimunt lo riportate sul foglio tracciando una retta (Attenzione: mettete il centro del goniometro sul punto dove siete A e lo 0° sulla retta rivolta verso Nord )&lt;br /&gt;Ora prendete tutti gli attrezzi e contate i passi dal punto dove siete al punto di cui avete appena fatto l’azimut (mi raccomando in linea retta e a passi costanti), arrivati al punto B che avevate scelto riportate i passi sulla retta appena fatta (ex. 16 passi = 16cm da A a B). Ora traccaiate una retta del Nord uguale alla precedente che passi per il punto B.&lt;br /&gt;Fatto cio basterà solamente tirare gli azimut dal punto A e B del punto da triangolare, riportare gli azimunt sul foglio (mettendo sempre il centro del goniometro sul punto o A o B e lo 0° in corrispondenza della retta del Nord).&lt;br /&gt;Le due rette tarcciate si incontrano in un punto del foglio che è il vostro albero in giardino. I fatti politici, economici e sociali di cui legge nei giornali (confini etnici e confessionali, emigrazioni, crisi economiche) sono suoni di cui non riesce a intendere il senso. Quanti italiani di media cultura sono in grado di seguire una discussione sui corridoi disegnati dall’Unione Europea per la costruzione delle grandi infrastrutture comuni? Quanti sono capaci di raccapezzarsi nel dibattito sui grandi oleodotti e gasdotti che sono stato costruiti o progettati in questi ultimi anni? Quanti sono in grado di valutarne le ricadute politiche nel Caspio, nel Mar Nero e nel Mare del Nord? Quanti sanno quale sia l’importanza degli Stretti di Ormuz per le esigenze energetiche del mondo? Senza nozioni di geografia economica e geografia umana è impossibile comprendere la guerra di Bosnia, la questione palestinese, la tragedia del Darfur, il conflitto per il Kashmir, la guerra del Congo, la pirateria del Golfo di Aden, la difficile lotta contro i talebani sui confini tra l’Afghanistan e il Pakistan. Come nessuno può leggere o scrivere senza ricorrere occasionalmente a un vocabolario, così nessuno può leggere il mondo e le sue vicende senza possedere gli strumenti della geografia politica ed economica. I giornali lo hanno compreso e pubblicano spesso una piccola mappa geografica dei luoghi lontani e mal conosciuti dove sono accaduti gli eventi di cui si parla nell’articolo. Google porta sullo schermo dei nostri computer le mappe satellitari del nostro Paese e della nostra città. I navigatori ci aiutano a viaggiare per terra e per mare. Ma le carte servono soprattutto a chi ha già imparato, possibilmente sui banchi di scuola, a leggerle e interpretarle... Questo simbolo in particolare fu adottato da Carlo V e divenne parte del suo stemma come simbolo dei suoi possessi e ricchezze americani. Quando i conquistadores spagnoli trovarono l'oro e l'argento nel Nuovo mondo, il simbolo di Carlo V fu posto sulle monete che venivano coniate con questi metalli. Queste monete con le colonne d'Ercole sui due emisferi (columnarios) erano diffuse in tutta l'America ed in Europa ed il simbolo fu adottato dal paese che in seguito divenne gli Stati Uniti e da molte altre nazioni indipendenti del continente americano. In seguito i commercianti scrissero questo segno anziché "dollaro" per esteso e questo segno, inizialmente scritto a mano, si sviluppò sino a diventare una semplice "S" con due linee verticali.&lt;br /&gt;Un'altra tesi indica che il simbolo di dollaro risalga alla più importante moneta romana, il sesterzio, che aveva come simbolo le lettere 'HS'(Il suo nome deriva dal suo valore originale: inizialmente valeva 2 assi e mezzo. Sesterzio viene de semis-tertius, che significa « metà del terzo », cioè metà del terzo asse. La sua abbreviazione HS è pure una deformazione del valore della moneta in numeri romani, dove la "S" sta per "semis", ovvero "metà". Nell'uso arcaico i numeri venivano indicati da una linea orizzontale mediana: inizialmente quindi l'abbreviazione era IIS, semplificata poi dall'uso in HS. Quattro sesterzi formano un denario). Se sovrapposte queste lettere formano il simbolo di dollaro con due barre verticali (il tratto orizzontale della 'H' si sovrappone alla parte orizzontale della 'S'). Alla base del successo della console Nintendo sta un rivoluzionario sistema di controllo di gioco, il Wiimote, che permette agli utenti di giocare in maniera interattiva semplicemente muovendolo o puntandolo verso il display, grazie ad una serie di sensori di vario genere.&lt;br /&gt;Ma l'attenzione attorno alla console Nintendo Wii non è destinata a calare, almeno per ora. L'ultima notizia è stata diffusa dalla Redazione di Engadget che, grazie al lavoro e alla creatività di Ben Heckendorn, può vantare la costruzione del primo Wii Laptop. Si tratta indubbiamente di un dispositivo interessante e originale: una console da gioco Wii integrata all'interno di un portatile.&lt;br /&gt;Il progetto, naturalmente, è ancora in fase sperimentale, ma il prototipo svelato da Engadget è la prova della sua realizzabilità concreta. Il Wii Laptop si presenta ancora grossolano nell'aspetto ma non bisogna farsi trarre in inganno: il case spartano cela una dotazione hardware completa che comprende lettore CD, schermo LCD da 7" e Sensor Bar, un array di LED che serve ad attirare il sensore di luminosità del Wiimote, in modo che quest'ultimo non venga disturbato da altre fonti luminose nelle vicinanze.&lt;br /&gt;Lo stesso Wiimote è utilizzato come dispositivo di input di questo notebook: attraverso pochi e precisi click permette di navigare tra i programmi, avviare un gioco o aprire il contenuto di un CD, anche grazie concettuali&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Il termine mappa concettuale è stato coniato da J. Novak e D. Gowin che, a partire dalla teoria cognitivista dell’apprendimento significativo, descrissero le strategie per sviluppare e utilizzare anche in ambito didattico questo strumento. I due studiosi sostennero che la rappresentazione grafica delle conoscenze “è un modo per far emergere i significati insiti nei materiali da apprendere”, in quanto costringe gli studenti a riflettere sulla natura delle conoscenze e sulle relazioni che vi intercorrono. Così come una mappa geografica serve per orientarsi in un territorio, una mappa concettuale è strumento per interpretare, rielaborare e trasmettere conoscenze, informazioni e dati, visualizzando l’oggetto della comunicazione, i concetti principali, i legami che essi stabiliscono e, di conseguenza, il percorso del ragionamento.&lt;br /&gt;Possiamo, perciò, affermare che una mappa concettuale è la rappresentazione grafica di concetti espressi sinteticamente (parole - concetto) all’interno di una forma geometrica (nodo) e collegati fra loro da linee (frecce) che esplicitano la relazione attraverso parole – legamento.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Novak sostiene (2001, 22-23) che gran parte di ciò che si verifica nell'insegnamento e/o nell'apprendimento dipende dai metodi di valutazione utilizzati. La valutazione è significativa nella vita delle persone, poiché anch'essa può provocare dei cambiamenti nelle diverse dimensioni umane, cognitiva, emotiva, psicomotoria: un test d'ingresso per l'università, un test d'intelligenza, un test per un'assunzione, il voto di maturità o la laurea con lode, la patente di guida; ognuno di questi momenti di valutazione e molti altri, sono dei momenti significativi nella vita degli esseri umani.&lt;br /&gt;Le mappe concettuali, quali strumento significativo, possono quindi essere impiegate per la valutazione diagnostica, in itinere, e per quella sommativa. La valutazione formativa svolta attraverso la costruzione di mappe concettuali e la riflessione su di esse, permette al docente di avere un'istantanea (Varisco, 1995) della mappa cognitiva del discente e della sua evoluzione nel tempo, di apprezzare i suoi spunti creativi, di cogliere i nodi irrisolti nel suo pensiero, le misconoscenze e le conoscenze ingenue. Basandosi su ciò che vede nella mappa concettuale il docente può capire dove ancorare i concetti che egli proporrà ai discenti, in modo da favorire processi di apprendimento significativo. Il docente può utilizzare le mappe concettuali al fine di permettere agli studenti di avere uno strumento di rilevazione del loro stesso apprendimento, finalizzato all'automonitoraggio. Le mappe concettuali aiutano lo studente a prendere coscienza delle proprie conoscenze e, nella loro revisione guidata, a sviluppare le proprie abilità metacognitive. Per mezzo di questo semplice strumento egli non si sente vincolato ad eseguire una performance limitativa del suo apprendimento (ad esempio: la risposta ad una domanda di un test a risposta chiusa), ma è libero di esprimere la propria particolare acquisizione di conoscenza e rappresentarla come meglio crede.&lt;br /&gt;In questo modo lo strumento funge da guida anche per l'insegnante, che può ad ogni lezione auto-monitorare il proprio insegnamento. Le mappe, usate come strumento di valutazione formativa, permettono all'insegnante di venire a conoscenza (Varisco, 1995):&lt;br /&gt;- dei diversi stili cognitivi di ciascuno studente, poiché la struttura della mappa tende a riprodurre il particolare stile cognitivo di ciascuno studente: esse possono avere struttura gerarchica o a grappolo (stellare), sequenziale (a catena) o narratologica; solo in parte la particolare conoscenza da rappresentare può influenzare lo stile della mappa (ad esempio, per le materie scientifiche la struttura gerarchica si adegua maggiormente).&lt;br /&gt;- delle misconoscenze o delle conoscenze ingenue, che precedono l'insegnamento.- delle aree concettuali problematiche, seguite alla lezione, facilmente identificabili nei collegamenti mancanti o scorretti; (…)&lt;br /&gt;Rispetto ai test a risposte multiple o aperte o alle prove orali, le mappe ovviano ai cosiddetti "difetti di comunicazione", sia da parte degli studenti (mancata o scorretta comprensione della consegna/domanda), sia da parte del docente (interpretazione arbitraria delle risposte verbali e scritte, mancanza di indizi semantici sulle motivazioni delle non risposte); in particolare, a differenza delle risposte agli items, le loro "omissioni" sono ricche di informazioni.- Le mappe concettuali ovviano alla scelta arbitraria e limitata delle unità di conoscenza sondate dagli items e dalle prove orali.&lt;br /&gt;- Le mappe evolvono nel tempo, in relazione a quanto trattato nei diversi interventi formativi.&lt;br /&gt;- Le mappe, usate come strumento di valutazione formativa di gruppo, incentivano la costruzione intersoggettiva di significato.&lt;br /&gt;- Le mappe sono un ottimo strumento di introduzione al colloquio orale, per mezzo del quale, lo studente chiarisce a se stesso ed all'insegnante le aree concettuali problematiche della propria mappa cognitiva.&lt;br /&gt;Le mappe concettuali sembrano rappresentare uno strumento didattico molto promettente. Interrogativi che potrebbero guidare future ricerche in proposito potrebbero riguardare, ad esempio, il ruolo delle mappe concettuali nella comprensione dei vari approcci cognitivi (e forse dei tipi di intelligenza, rifacendoci alla teoria delle intelligenze multiple di Gardner), oppure il modo con cui le mappe concettuali potrebbero affiancare i test attitudinali, nella determinazione delle abilità di base dello studente. Questo tipo di impiego potrebbe aprire la strada verso una formazione ed una valutazione più incentrate sullo sviluppo delle potenzialità e delle capacità dello studente, poiché i metodi valutativi quali i test attitudinali classici, tendono a dare giudizi correlati negativamente alle abilità creative della persona, limitandone la piena espressione delle potenzialità.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Bibliografia&lt;br /&gt;Ausubel D.P.
